It took us about 4 hours to make it out to the lake--just on the other side of the Cascade Mountain to the East. This is the view from our cabin deck--Teddy is on the beach with the kids.

We decided to visit some wineries in the afternoon which are right down the road from the cabin. We had a great time--beautiful weather, beautiful scenery and great wine!
We headed to Long Lake before dinner--2 minutes down the road! Buddy liked the water and we plan on going back often to cool down on the warm Summer days!
We spent the weekend down in Shelton and had a great time. Here, Archie is helping Dad get some wood for the fire before bedtime--he loved the wagon ride!

On Sunday afternoon we headed over to our good family friends' house on Hood Canal and had a wonderful time. Fresh oysters, BBQ, wine and great company!
Where have these past two years gone? Seems like only yesterday I was on the boob and sitting in my Bumbo. I'm older and wiser now and I've now moved on to sippy cups and booster seats, afternoon naps and sandbox time, but I'm still that same carefree, idealistic guy who thinks the world is my oyster. Sure, I'm a little jaded from life, but don't let these hard edges fool you. I'm still that lovable guy at heart and still love to bang on my drums, eat meat and watch Choo-choo. I am always up for a playdate and some playground time. Big slides don't scare me, so don't be afraid as I climb the tower and launch down the twists. After all, I'm a big boy and I wear big boy undies.
